Slender, bi-coloured, Daytona seats in Crema Nappa with Nero, contrast Bianca stitching and Ferrari emblem in headrests, which are both heated and electrically fully adjustable . Drilled aluminium pedals, contrasting door cards and headlining, carbon fibre dash binnacles, pods, and flying centre control console. Yellow faced rev counter, carbon fibre and leather, race style, flat bottom steering wheel with integral LED’s.

THE DRIVE & ENGINE
The California T was debuted at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, replacing the previous 4.3 naturally aspirated model.
Powered by a front, mid-mounted, 3855cc, all aluminium, twin turbo-charged, direct injection, wet sum, V8, developing a prodigious 553 hp @ 4750 rpm.
Although diminished capacity, power increased by around 30 hp. Weight was also shed by 30kg’s which translated to extremely impressive performance figures of 0-60 mph in 3.3 secs, and a top speed of 196 mph. The transmission is a seven speed dual clutch system, with improved gear ratios, rear-mounted to provide virtually perfect weight distribution of 47% front 53% rear, and first Ferrari with a modular chassis. Benefitting from a multi-link rear suspension, plus small twin turbos, with variable boost management, which assists to reduce any sensation of turbo-lag.
Only 1645 cars were produced in 2014, with an additional 2638 in 2015, so still a very low volume.
Even accounting for the engineering required for the fully electric convertible roof, plus associated strengthening necessary, the “Clai T” comes in at an impressive 1730kg’s.
