EXTERIOR
The black textured leather looks superb, with barely any noticeable wear, hardly surprising from a 911 having covered so few miles. Radio was not tested but assumed to work effectively.

WHEELS & TYRES
Matching Pirelli P-Zeros all round, front – 225/40 ZR18 N2, rear – 285/30 ZR 18 N2.
It should be noted, that although all tyres show a considerable amount of wear, we would strongly recommend replacement, due to age only.
All four alloys are in fine order, with no noticeable deterioration to their surfaces. The bright red brake callipers, with Porsche logos highlighted in white, offer a distinctive contrast, and hint at the 993 Coupe’s sporting capabilities.
SERVICE HISTORY & PROVENANCE
Supplied new by Porsche Main Dealers in Ingolstadt 26/03/1997, where they carried out the first three services to 25,540 kms.
On first import to the U.K. by Mr. Shelley of Coventry, the Porsche was purchased by an airline pilot, who remained the sole owner for the next 20 years.
Having travelled to Spain, and following a change in personal circumstances, the 993 was put into professional, long-term storage in 2008. Recent total re-commission and full major serviced at 28,614 miles, this wonderful C4S now runs superbly, as a gruelling 8 hour journey, across Europe can testify.

THE DRIVE & ENGINE
The glorious Turbo wide body houses the notorious M64/21 flat six, 12v coupled to the 6 speed manual G6420 gearbox.
Start-up is effortless and without issue, settles swiftly to a pulsating, steady idle. No smoke, no oil leaks rattles, hunting or surging. Once on the move, every journey feels like a very special occasion, with taut slick gear changes, a positive clutch feel. Unlike the Carrera 2S, benefitting from the same brakes and suspension as the Turbo, so speed is dissipated with ease, via the 4 piston calipers front and rear and 322mm ventilated / cross-drilled discs all round. Permanent all wheel drive with LSD, instil a confidence and sure-footedness, while surface imperfections are absorbed effectively. With 285 bhp to explore, 0-60 mph times of approx 5.2 sec, and a top speed in the region of 168mph, this low volume Porsche 993 must surely be worthy of serious consideration by both collector and enthusiast alike.
