Electric door mirrors, graduated top tint front screen, electrically adjusted driver and passenger leather sports seats, headlamp power wash system, original, un-used space-saver wheel with compressor, full and complete tool-roll, original emergency hazard kit,  Pioneer DAB radio / C.D / Bluetooth, Mp3 USB, iPod / iPhone connectivity, hazard light switch, heated rear screen, rear wiper. Impact bumpers front and rear, rear seat belts, cigarette lighter, vanity mirrors in sun-visors, 16″ Fuchs forged alloy wheels, front and rear spoiler, sports shock absorbers, carpeted front luggage space, Linen leather with contrasting red leather piping.

Gleaming Grand Prix White, factory code L908.

This Targa also presents extremely well, with an even shine across all body panels.

In addition the Targa roof is perfect, having just been totally restored, to a very high standard. All associated door rubbers and seals were also included during the restoration. All three screen wiper arms look perfect, no unsightly chips or scratches to be found anywhere around the Porsche.

Factory laser label clearly visible under front bonnet, (which we like to see) confirming C16 car.

A highlight of this particular vehicle.

In the many years of handling and owning 911’s, we have never seen this desirable combination of Linen leather sports seats, with red piping in a Targa, which sets this 3.2 apart from other, more mundane examples. An under stated, and subtle contrast to the Grand Prix White exterior. The leather steering wheel shows little sign of any wear and is 100% correct.

All seating remains in excellent order throughout, with the electrically operated adjustments operating as intended. Electric window and door mirrors, heated rear window with wiper, heater and all switches, operate exactly as they should. Linen carpets, both front and rear appear original and in very good condition when considering their age, and are protected by, possibly slightly more practical, black over mats edged in red, front and rear. Just a pleasing amount of aged patination, to enhance the original character of the Porsche overall.

The instantly recognisable signature of any Air-Cooled 911, the Fuchs 16”inch, forged alloys.

Front 6″ with 205/55 R16 (91W), rear 7″ with 225/50 ZR16 (92W) tyres. Dunlop Sport Blu Response on the front, Pirelli P6000 at the rear, with approx 6-7mm tread depth across the tyres.

Free from any significant blemish, all wheels boast their original, and again, very rare, billet centre caps, with Stuttgart crests.

So, £6k has been invested in 2020 at OPC, to bring this lovely Targa to the market in the best overall condition. The 911 also completed a Porsche Vehicle Health Check at 101,852 miles, with excellent results. As seen by the service records above, this 911 Targa has always been subject to an extremely high level of care throughout its 32 years of motoring. All consumables, such as brake pads disc and tyres have been replaced as required. Original invoices, MOT certificates, full service book, all Handbooks and keys accompany the vehicle. Obviously fully Hpi clear with certificate. Previous owner from August 2006, and last owner from March 2016.

The best aspect of owning any Air Cooled 911 is….., the drive.

Not fast, by modern standards, but far more engaging, direct and enjoyable than the majority of current fare on offer. While swift enough with 231 bhp on tap, it’s more about the total and complete experience, hard to explain to the un-initiated, but profoundly addictive, be warned.

From the moment you open the door, even the smell; you could only be in a 911. The flat six, horizontally opposed 3.2, barks into life, then settles. A slight whiff from the spent exhaust gases, first is then easily engaged, thanks to the superior 5 speed G50 gearbox. Eagerly press on through all gears without any drama, the clutch, brakes and steering all combine to deliver one of the best drives in motoring, you can just relish the next series of bends.

This particular example performs admirable on the road and has been much admired by many experienced Porsche drivers and associates. Surely a reflection of the regular, on-going care received over the past 32 years. The Targa top is simply removed and can be stowed in front bonnet, (or behind the front seats if preferred). This totally transforms the whole car, the only real way to truly enjoy your 911 Targa.

Having just completed a major service at Porsche Main Dealers, and with recent major investment, this Targa is most certainly worthy of serious consideration.
