What must be a virtually unique motoring opportunity?

To acquire, not just the final incarnation of the Air-Cooled 911 in its most desirable format, a manual, two wheel drive, Coupe, but one that has the most remarkable, unquestionable provenance.

Having been serviced exclusively by Porsche Main Dealers, without fail, from new.

A total, documented history accompanies this Porsche, highlighting 17 OPC entries for servicing alone.

Maximum interval, having covered just 2950 miles over a 12 month period, with a minimum of 67 miles, though the annual pilgrimage remained diligently adhered to.

L84S – Arena Red Metallic

LC – Cashmere Beige + Black Interior

Arguably the very best colour for defining the profiles and contours of the 993, Arena Red Metallic (L845). As to be expected for such a low mileage example, the entire external bodywork is completely faultless. Emitting a deep and glossy shine overall. All glass and lenses remain clear and free from any cracks or crazing. Rubber seals, wiper arms and blades are as new. Distinctive split rear vent, silver “S” logo and reflective rear lens define the models appearance.

While the wonderful Cashmere (LC) leather lifts the cabin to create a light, crisp atmosphere, the experience benefits greatly from the introduction of Black leather Dash and Steering wheel. This transforms the interior, thus avoiding the over-indulgence of a single light tone, which can detract from other models. (Such as the full Savannah often seen in the 996) All seats, door cards, switches, door cappings, dashboard and headlining are totally un-marked. Carpets and mats also remain in fine order.

The 18”inch, hollow spoke Technology alloys are virtually as new, wrapped in appropriate Pirelli P-Zero N-rates tyres, all having a generous tread depth. Gloss Black brake callipers display their Porsche Log in White, while grasping the vented and drilled discs at each corner.

It would be a thankless task trying to locate any Porsche from this era with a finer service record and provenance. Originally supplied by official Porsche Centre Northampton on 12th February 1997 to Mr. Colin Morby. This 993 has visited Porsche for servicing no fewer than seventeen times. All stamped. Plus additional visit to Porsche U.K. H.Q Reading, for new fuel pump to be fitted. The last eleven, while in possession of the final owner, have been consecutively with OPC Guildford. From 2003 through to 2019, while only covering 2794 miles. All MOT certificates are present, plus the majority of original invoices. A full Owner Pack in black leather wallet, with all Handbooks is present, together with all keys, immobilisers and remote fobs. Obviously the Porsche is fully Hpi clear, with Certificate available.

Thankfully, not a “Stored away” car, like so many, low mileage examples, but regularly used, only, very sparingly. Always annually being taxed and MOT’d. Having benefitted since production in 1996, from such close attentions by the manufacturing agents only, it is clear to see how successful this regime of constant care has been. Resulting in a Porsche 911 that, not only visually incredible but has performance and handling to match. With 285 bhp available, accessed via the 6 speed manual gearbox, in a car of approx 1390 Kilos, it is no great surprise that 0-60 mph can be achieved in around 5.3 seconds mark, powering on to over 170 mph! Suspension is firm, yet still compliant enough, steering, direct and precise, braking more than adequate to retard the enthusiasm. No fluid leaks what so ever, a rarity in 911’s of any era. Capable, purposeful and exclusive.

If you have ever been waiting for the best Air-Cooled 911 to come along, this could well be your only opportunity.
