Glorious Black Pearl Metallic – L744
The original factory laser label can still be seen attached to underside of the bonnet, together with date stamped components for the bonnet lining. Both are always a reassuring sign, confirming a lack of any historic frontal incidents.
All paintwork surfaces are free of any corrosion, have a deep, mature lustre and show little sign of, either age or mileage covered. Besides the occasional stone chip, there is nothing negative to report.
Glass and lenses are perfect, no crazing or scratches.
Screen wipers and arms have obviously been regularly replaced, exhaust tips remain bright with no pitting.
Full black leather upholstery. Totally unmarked on front and rear seats, only a desirable mild degree of patina to be seen. Gear selector is as new, as are door cards, headlining, all carpets and branded over-mats.
Dash top has no cracks or scratches, all dials and displays are clear and easily visible.
The A/C operates efficiently, likewise the heating systems.
All switches and electrics perform their intended and desired tasks.
WHEELS & TYRES
Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 2
Front 225/40/R18 97Y
Rear 265/35R18 97Y
All tyres show plenty of tread, no bulging, perishing, or nicks to the sidewalls.
Wear patterns appear even and consistent; alignment has been carried out within the last few thousand miles.
Gleaming red callipers, ventilated and drilled discs, can be spied beyond the light-weight five spoke Turbo alloys, all without a mark.
THE DRIVE & ENGINE
The engine bay is exceptionally clean, as can be seen in the images, not a fluid leak above or below.
All hoses appear in a top condition with vital levels reading as they should.
The glorious 3.6, air-cooled, 6 cylinder, immediately responds to the first request from ignition.
That unique, rasping growl that only a 911 can provide is in this case though, further enhanced by the Motorsport Soundbox, extremely addictive. Then, settles to a purposeful idle. On the move, any task is competently dispatched, like the many miles behind you, with efficiency and sure-footedness. Progress is immediate retarded by all round discs and pads.
Punching through the gear, as the grin widens, begin to realise, you are experiencing, what must be considered, one of motoring’s great privileges. The ride, while firm, compliant enough not to be an issue. Steering precise, perfectly weighted, a joy to turn in then power out. An experience, I urge you to share, at your earliest opportunity.
