Striking in Guards Red, this dashing 981 has heaps of kerb-side appeal.
Fortunately there are no scratches, dents or marks to detract from the bodywork, with an almost as new appearance from any angle. All glass is clear and scratch/chip free, likewise all lenses. Wipers and rubber seals are all excellent.

As familiar, stylish and well finished as all Porsche, the Boxster cabin is a wonderful environment in which to complete any length of journey, be that just a few short miles or many hours crossing European boarders. This examples includes the extended leather package.
Due to the high quality of materials initially incorporated, there is absolutely no wear to be seen on either the switches and controls or the seating. Even the vulnerable driver’s seat bolster remains in perfect order. Roof lining and carpets, likewise.
Well furnished with stowage areas, and of course, the ubiquitous cup-holders.
Engaging the large rocker switch, positioned centrally in the console, lowers and raises the folding convertible roof in a matter of seconds. This operation can be completed while on the move, at speeds up to 30 m.p.h.
All electrical components operate exactly as intended. The A/C is ice cool or comfortably warm as required, as with the heated seats.
Starting from cold, there is no hesitation and the engine sparks to life immediately. No smoke or vacillation upon ignition, swiftly settles to a smooth idle. Out on the road, clutch has a reassuring weight, while gears engaged with ease via an extremely sweet 6 speed manual box which is a crisp joy.
This, the last of the six cylinder 24v Boxster engines, develops a very capable 265 bhp, being 35kgs lighter that its 987 predecessor, (also with a longer wheelbase), enough to propel you from 0-62mph in around 5.7 seconds, then onwards towards 165 mph, where permissible.
The Electro Mechanical steering feels precise, positive, certainly light enough and barely discernible to all but the very highly tuned. Do expect to experience the famous Porsche tyre/steering noises however, when manoeuvring at very low speeds, especially when cold, all perfectly normal as explained by Porsche themselves.
Suspension and damping set-up is perfectly suited to chassis, providing a taut but compliant ride.
Ventilated discs and pads all round subdue speed with ease, the minimum of effort engaging the large gun-metal grey callipers to efficiently dissipate forward momentum.
Reported to return an average, in the region of 35mpg, with a low tax bracket, J, currently just £290.00p annually.
WHEELS & TYRES
The Boxster Carrera S style 20”inch alloys are all un-marked.
Wrapped in matching Pirelli P-Zero tyres all round, the 265/35 ZR20 rears and 235/35Z R20 fronts, all boast a good tread depth across the tyres, with no signs of any un-even wear patterns.
SERVICE HISTORY & PROVENANCE
Another local car, having just two previous owners. This 981 has obviously been well cared for, with two keys, owners wallet and all handbooks. It Benefits from a full service history by OPC and well recognised Porsche specialists. The last service was only 483 miles ago, which include drive belt replacement, brake fluid change, a full four wheel alignment, plus replacement O/S/R lower suspension arm.
Tyres, brake discs and pads, brake fluid, all replaced regularly as required.
