Presents to a very high standard, with very little evidence of gravel-rash or stone chips to be found, a testament to careful ownership throughout, by just 4 local owners.  Obvious visible alterations and upgrades have been made to enhance this R32, but all to a high standard, to produce a very striking VW with a huge amount of kerb-appeal.


The quality of materials incorporated cannot be questioned, having been in daily service for over 14 years, while remaining unmarked with no wear worthy of note, even to the vulnerable front seat side bolsters. The decorative turned aluminium inserts have avoided any serious scratches, carpets, headlining and door cards are taught and appear in good condition. Dials switches and controls would all appear to operate effectively and as intented.

The MK V Golf R32 developed an impressive 247 bhp @ 6300 rpm with 236 lbft of torque from the VR6 derived 3.2. Capable of dismissing the 0-60 mph dash in just 6.3 secs and a managed top speed claimed at 155.3 mph, while still managing to efficiently return mpg figures of around 26 mpg. This gave a potential claimed range of 314 miles. The 13.58”inch front discs + 12.2”inch rears, with definitive blue painted callipers, arrest speed with ease. Four wheel drive stability and assurity is provided by a reliable Haldex 4-Motion System, carried over from the Mk1V model. During our test, this example performed well in all areas. Generally considered to be “one to watch” in the market, the R32 has recently gained huge admiration from a devoted legion of fan, and for those looking for something just a little different, this might well be worthy of strong consideration.
